 Student Council 

Eagle Heights Christian Academy Student Council is a group of elected and volunteer high school students working together with a school advisor and the Administration to provide a means for student input and assistance in school affairs and activities.

Student Council provides students with opportunities to:
-share ideas and provide feedback regarding school improvement
-serve the school and community in various Faith-In-Action opportunities
-promote school spirit

 

 After School Clubs 

We are excited to introduce these Eagle Heights Clubs for Session 1 (February 4th – April 14th).   Club Applications will be available at Sundae Monday on February 3rd right after school.

  • Clubs will meet from 3:50 - 4:35 unless otherwise specified. 
  • Club participants must apply for the Club and must maintain good grades (C or better) and good behavior (S or better) both in class and in the club in order to participate. 
  • There is no charge for any Club, except for the American Heritage Girls Club. 
  • All classes are limited in size; applicants are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.  All other applicants will be placed on a waiting list. 
  • Students will be notified by email if their application is accepted.
  • Students will be picked up at Car Line by the Club Sponsors and escorted to their prospective Club.
  • Parent pick up is on the South side (dismissal side), except for Kid Science and Legos (north side - entrance side).  
  • Students not picked up by 4:40 will go to After School Care (a fee is charged for this service unless students are already enrolled in After School Care).

ROBOTICS CLUB:  Grades 5th – 10th  (Monday, Room 231) Limit 12

Robotics Club is available for students in 4th-9th grade who would like to expand their knowledge in the field of engineering and computer science.  Students will collaborate with each other as they design, build, program, and test a robot.   The club will engage student’s critical thinking skills, teamwork ability, and communication. You must submit an application and be a confirmed member prior to attending the club.  Taught by Mrs. Ogletree.

HONOR CHOIR:  Grades 4 - 12 (Monday except for Faculty Meeting Days, Choir Room) Limit 20

This is an opportunity for students in 4th – 11th grades who want to sing and perform.  You must submit an application and be a confirmed member prior to attending the club.  Taught by Mrs. Messinger.

LEGO CLUB:  Grades K - 2 (Tuesday, Cafeteria) Limit 12

Lego Club is available for students K – 2nd grade who enjoy using Legos to create masterpieces!  Each week the students will be challenged to create a Lego creation based upon a given theme.  They will have the choice to build individually or as a group.  Legos are provided, but we are taking Lego donations for the club.  If you have leftover Legos, please consider donating.  You must submit an application and be a confirmed member prior to attending the club.  Please pick up on the north side (Entrance 1).  Taught by Mrs. Jackson.

GEOGRAPHY CLUB:  Grades 3 - 6 (Tuesday, Room 128) Limit 12

This club is designed for students 3rd-6th grade who are interested in geography.  You will have the opportunity to have fun learning about the continents through map skills, competitions, videos, computer games, guest speakers, dress and food.  You must submit an application and be a confirmed member prior to attending the club.  Taught by Mrs. Freeman.

COOL KID SCIENCE:  Grades K - 2 (Tuesday, Room 121) Limit 10

This club offers students an introduction to science concepts through experiments and videos.  You must submit an application and be a confirmed member prior to attending the club.  Please pick up on the north side (Entrance 1).  Taught by Mrs. Barker and Mrs. Soderman.

BIBLE CLUB: Grades 3-12 (Tuesdays) Limit 12

This is an opportunity for students to go through different books of the Bible and discuss life application including prayer for struggles and our school and families.  Taught by Michelle Cervantes. 

PRAISE TEAM:  Grades 7 – 12 (Wednesday, Choir Room)

This is an opportunity to participate on the Praise Team for Chapel and Worship.  Students already on the Praise Team do not need to apply.  Interested students should submit an application and be a confirmed member prior to attending Praise Team practices.  Taught by Mrs. Smith.

STRINGS CLUB: (1st and 3rd Thursdays) Limit 12

This club is designed for students in grades 3-12.  Students will learn and practice violin and other classical strings.  Taught by Mrs. Bourque

GUITAR CLUB:  Grades 3 - 11 (2nd and 4th Thursdays, Choir Room) Limit 12

This club is designed for students in 3rd-11th grade who either already play guitar or are wanting to learn to play the guitar. You will need your own guitar. We will learn different praise songs as well as folk music. It will be fun!  You must submit an application and be a confirmed member prior to attending the club. Taught by Mrs. Bourque.

YEARBOOK CLUB:  Grades 8 - 12 (Thursdays) Limit 8

This is an opportunity for students to learn layout and design as they produce yearbook pages.  You must submit an application and be a confirmed member prior to attending the club.  Taught by Mrs. Farrell.

DRAMA CLUB 1st-12th grades Monday (unless there is a faculty meeting)

Come enjoy acting out skits!  We can perform them for classes and chapels. Taught by Mrs. Bourque

BOARD GAME CLUB

Do you like Uno?  How about Clue or Battleship?  Come play games with friends while eating lunch.  This is a great opportunity for some fun and fellowship as you build relationships with your classmates!  Join us on Wednesdays from 12:15-12:45 PM in Room 233 with Mrs. Martin.

GAMING CLUB (Wednesday, Room 232)

Grades 5th-12th.  This club will teach you different skills and expand your knowledge of video gaming. Not only is it fun, it involves creativity. We will also introduce new game genres. Our main goal is to enhance your inner gamer. You don't have to be an expert to join. We plan to also explore different “apps” for gaming devices.  You must submit an application and be a confirmed member prior to attending the club.  Taught by Mrs. Rogers.
