2023-2024 Enrollment – Save $100 on your enrollment fee by enrolling early! Current students of EHCA and new students will be able to re-enroll/enroll starting February 10^th. Parents will be emailed a link to start the enrollment process for currently enrolled students and non-enrolled siblings of the same family. You will also be able to access the online packets by logging into your Family Portal, click on Apply/Enroll and follow the links to start a packet. To add a new student to your family, click on Apply/Enroll and choose Application. Please invite family and friends who are new to the school to check us out as well. They can click on Admissions and request to schedule a tour or just simply ask for information.

100^th Day of School – Friday, February 3^rd is our 100^th day of school! To celebrate, students may dress as a 100-year-old person or a hat/shirt with 100 things on it. (See attached flyer.)

Parent-Teacher Connection - On Thursday, February 9^th, beginning at 6 p.m., there will be a Parent-Teacher Connection meeting held in the Music Room. We invite you to connect with us and discuss all things Eagle Heights! (See attached flyer.)

Candy Grams and Carnations Sale – For Valentines Day this year, we will be selling candy grams and carnation flowers. Both can be purchased for $2 each and sent either to another student to spread cheer, a teacher to show appreciation, administration, or brought home and given to a family member. All orders are due by February 10th. (See attached flyer.)

Jeans Pass week- For the week of Feb 13^th - 17^th, students are allowed to wear jeans every day for the entire week if they have a pass! Passes will be on sale for $5 Feb 6^th-Feb 10^th. 

Valentine’s Day Bake Sale – On Tuesday, February 14^th, we will be holding a Valentine’s Day Bake Sale to benefit our Mother’s Day Out program. Cupcakes will be sold for $2 each, and cookies and brownies will be 2 for $1. (See attached flyer.)

Spelling Bee – On Tuesday, February 14^th, classes will be gathering for a school-wide spelling bee where the top five from each class spelling bee will be competing. (See list of winners on next page.) The top two from the school spelling bee will advance to the Brazoria County Spelling Bee on Friday, February 17^th. From there, winners will head on to the Regional Spelling Bee at Houston Community College on Saturday, March 25^th. (See attached flyer.)

Donuts with Dad – To celebrate Fathers’ Day, we’re hosting a Donuts with Dad breakfast for all grade levels February 17^th from 7:30 to 8:20 a.m. Donuts will be served in the cafeteria.

Speech Meet – For the week of February 20^th, EHCA students in grades 1-6 will participate in classroom speech meets. (See attached flyer.) The top 2 students from each classroom will advance to the ACSI Virtual Speech Meet. Available categories include:

            Grade 1: Bible memorization or poetry

                Grades 2-4: Bible memorization, poetry, fable, or folklore

                Grade 5-6: Bible memorization, poetry, patriotic oration, dramatic Bible prose, or an original speech

Yearbook sales - To order your yearbook, go to the school’s website and click on the icon “order yearbooks”. You will be taken to the Josten’s website where you click on the option to “purchase yearbook”. The books are currently $30.

School Newsletter online – Look for updates to the EHCA weekly newsletter on our website at www.eagle-heights.org. Click on School News.

Go Western Day – Friday, February 24^th is Go Western Day. (See attached flyer.) Students may wear their favorite western gear on this day, and there will be a day of activities and fun for all those registered to attend. Registration for student lunch and activities on this day is due February 22^nd. For such activities, the Parent-Teacher Connection is asking for donations of the following:

20 Swimming Noodles (Skinny ones would work best)
Twine or Rope (Craft string should work)
Felt (9x12 sheets)
Wiggly Eyes

Glue and glue sticks

Spelling Bee Winners

Congratulations to those who placed in the top 5 from each class spelling bee! You will be advancing on to a school-wide spelling bee on Tuesday February 14^th.
